Senior Portfolio Manager – Local Investments

About the Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Portfolio Manager - Local Investments to help build and manage our new local investment fund(s) and services. This role is central to delivering LGPS Central's Fit for the Future plan, supporting regional growth and the Government's ambition for more local investment through pooling. Responsibilities

• Lead the structuring and delivery of local investment fund(s) and services
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence and analysis of investment opportunities
• Monitor and manage the performance of local investments
• Build & maintain relationships with market participants
• Develop a decision-making framework for asset allocation
• Support local investment reporting needs of Partner Funds
• Contribute to the integration and maintenance of the house view on local impact
• Work with Partner Funds and the Central Advisory/Client team to develop their local strategy
• Participate actively in the Investment Committee (IC)
• Be an ambassador for LGPS Central within the investment community
• Champion a culture of high performing, collaborative, research-based investing across LGPS Central
• Line management responsibility and development of the Local Investment team

About You

• Proven experience in making and managing local investments across private markets
• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical, financial modelling, and presentation skills
• Experience of collaborative investment decision making and portfolio management at a senior level
• Well-developed relationship partnering skills

Eligibility

Qualifications: Degree level or equivalent, CFA or equivalent qualification/ relevant investment experience, Has or can meet all the requirements of being an FCA approved person.
