Project Manager

About the Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the Team at Galliford Try in East Midlands.

Ideally, you will be based in or around the East of England and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the site is organized and always in good order.
• Understand your position within the construction team and what is expected.
• Lead and assist with various disciplines within the construction processes.
• Communicate within the construction team and potentially direct junior members.
• Take direction and instruction from line managers and challenge if necessary.
• Ensure compliance with Group Safety Policy and Health and Safety Regulations.
• Direct necessary labor, plant, staff, and equipment to achieve project completion on time and within budget.
• Manage and lead staff and operatives effectively.
• Train and develop junior team members.

About You

Applicants must have significant experience working on design and build projects for a main contractor, as well as in the management of H & S and the design and procurement processes. Trade experience and site experience are preferable.

Key Requirements:

• Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation
• CSCS Card at Site Manager level
• Valid SMSTS certificate
