About the Opportunity

We're looking for a Project Director to join our Major Projects team based in Plymouth, Devon.

Location: Plymouth, Devon - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: Full-time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a Project Director, you'll play a pivotal role in leading major construction projects from inception through to completion. You'll be the key point of contact for our clients, whilst directing and supporting your site management team to deliver exceptional results. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact, working on projects that benefit communities across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the site management team through all project phases whilst maintaining client relationships and identifying new business opportunities
  • Overseeing financial management, billings, and cost procedures throughout preconstruction and delivery
  • Ensuring all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality matters are effectively managed across the project
  • Developing bid scopes for trade packages and ensuring subcontractor compliance
  • Supporting the team on constructability issues and managing resource allocation during planning and early construction phases

About You

Requirements

As a Project Director, you'll be working within the Major Projects team, supporting them in delivering high-quality construction projects that meet client expectations and contractual requirements. Your day to day will include:

  • Strong experience managing financials, risk management, and stakeholder relations throughout project lifecycles
  • Confident working with structural steelwork, cladding and reinforced concrete
  • Understanding the management systems and processes used within Tier 1 construction businesses
  • Holding a related HNC degree or equivalent qualification and a Full driving licence
  • Comfortable leading client interfaces and guiding teams to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget
