The Role
An exciting opportunity is now available for a Projects Coordinator to join our busy team based in Docklands, Melbourne. This is an office and onsite based role with limited work from Home capability. Please be aware this is deemed a junior to intermediate role for someone wanting to take their career path down the Project management pathway.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining project schedules with company software.
- Achieving business objectives and strategy by cautiously setting unique goals against each project such as financial, human resources, etc.
- Be able to control project costs and quality.
- Anticipate, recognize, and identify key project risks and issues to establish mitigations.
- Prepare project reports to track cost, schedule and other relevant reports as requested by PM or client.
- Preparation of government permits for upcoming projects through engagement with legislative and state government bodies.
- Be able to manage and lead tender processes for the tendering and eventual assessment.
- Manage and monitor the quality and cost of project resources such as subcontractors and administer performance.
- Coordinate with various business units (electrical, Plumbing, building, etc.) and assign tasks for completion of projects.
- Be able to assist in the development of Project Management Plan against each project as requested by the client.
- Assist in the handover of the works including defect rectification and operational training where appropriate.
- Initiate meetings for the effective delivery of projects when required.
- Develop a cost proposal against Projects based on requirements outlined in the scope of work, and inputs from internal stakeholders.
- Be able to conduct RFQ with vendors.
- Running smaller projects assisted by PM.
- Establish and maintain a good relationship with clients and subcontractors.
- Attending site inspections with clients for new upcoming projects.
- Assist project managers with job budgets, expenditure, and internal processes.
Skills And Experience
- Competencies in the use of Excel, Word, Project & Outlook.
- Strong computer skills and ability to adapt to new software.
- The ability to work under pressure and manage your time effectively.
- You will be a team player and an exceptionally strong communicator.
- A high standard of personal integrity, self-discipline, and responsibility.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass medical and ongoing D&A screening.
- Must have or be eligible to get a valid employee Working with Children's Check.
- Must be a permanent Australian Citizen.
