Responsibilities
- Develop and implement appropriate processes to ensure adequate sponsor oversight for all Trust sponsored studies.
- Provide assurance to Trust Management on compliance with research governance and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct monitoring across the Trust and at other NHS organizations as needed.
- Review study protocols and ensure compliance with regulations and GCP.
- Create and oversee Corrective and Preventative Action Plans.
- Deliver specialist training to research staff on research governance and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of local SOPs.
- Prepare the Trust for regulatory inspections.
About You
This post requires a dynamic, out-going person with good IT skills. You should have knowledge of study set-up and delivery processes and be familiar with the work of the Sponsorship team.
Eligibility
Essential criteria:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Experience in medical research methodology and clinical trial regulations.
- Evidence of ongoing Good Clinical Practice Training.
- Thorough understanding of systems supporting clinical care in a research environment.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience in a large teaching hospital or University.
- Commercial research experience.
- Previous experience using IRAS for R&D applications.
