About The Role

The Asset Planning, Standards and Sustainability unit sits within the Capital Projects and Technical Services directorate and is responsible for leading and managing the strategic direction that informs executive decisions relating to asset planning, asset standards and asset sustainability to ensure education and care facilities align with current legislation, policies, and emerging trends.

The Project Coordinator, Asset Sustainability is responsible for addressing compliance with regulations, contracts, and licencing arrangements for utilities management at educational sites. The objective is to improve the utilities performance of the department, reduce operational expenditure and achieve improved asset management and sustainability.

The Project Coordinator, Asset Sustainability will be required to engage with other government agencies to ensure the department is providing effective support to schools and preschools by aligning with government policy

Qualifications

Essential: Nil

Desirable: Tertiary or post-secondary qualifications in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Management, Energy Management, Environmental Science, sustainability, or a related discipline. Knowledge of ArcGIS, PowerBI, or similar software tools.

Special Conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

ASO5 $85,790 - $95,413 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
