About the Opportunity
In support of the development of clinical services, the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board (BCUHB) have established an extensive capital programme amounting to £10 to £20 million a year, split between All-Wales and discretionary capital, for the development of a range of new and refurbished facilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage a number of capital construction projects from inception to completion
- Work with principal contractors, site operatives, Supervisors/Clerk of Works, and construction-related specialist consultants
- Manage and control contracts, delegated project budgets, and issue contract certificates and claims
About You
Main duties of the job:
- Support the Head of Capital in the day-to-day management and development of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board’s (UHB) Capital Assets
- Ensure delegated capital projects are delivered in accordance with the UHB’s policies and procedures
- Responsible for safe, efficient, and economical design and management of delegated multi-stranded capital projects
Eligibility
Qualifications:
Essential criteria:
- Degree in construction discipline or approved equivalent qualification/experience
- Sufficient postgraduate work leading towards Corporate membership of a recognized professional institute
Experience:
- Extensive, proven experience of managing capital projects or other approved construction-related environment
- Proven ability in delivering large capital schemes to time, within budget, and to user satisfaction
