Senior Project Manager/Modeler – Construction Modeling

About the Opportunity

Walter P Moore has an immediate opening for a Senior Modeler to join our dynamic team. A Senior Modeler has the responsibility for applying intensive and diversified knowledge of detailing principles and practices in broad areas. A Senior Modeler bears primary responsibility for properly executing the accuracy and constructability of the project model(s). They manage a team of professionals, set direction, outline goals, and execute the project plan. A senior modeler’s roles include complex modeling, planning, organization direction and quality control of projects, being a team leader through technical supervision and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Build concept models and connections to ensure alignment with the design team.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering consultants to develop engineering solutions.
• Oversee designs, review project specifications, and interpret applicable codes and industry standards.
• Guide/assist other modelers regarding issues such as codes, design criteria, and software.
• Provide guidance to team members regarding assessment techniques, modeling standards, processes, and quality.
• Promote, exhibit, and communicate our Extraordinary Client Experience (ECX), Extraordinary Employee Experience (EEX), and more.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of prior experience with 10+ years of prior experience in Tekla steel detailing on complex projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to engage individuals and teams to complete tasks or projects.
• Ability to mentor and lead individuals and teams, build partnerships, and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
• Demonstrated career growth that includes experience working on design teams for a variety of building or project types.
• Strong client-service attitude with the ability to multitask and accomplish multiple priorities.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
