About the Opportunity

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of one Senior Analyst and support the development of other Fixed Income and Debt team members.
- Contribute to Whole of Fund investment thinking by working collaboratively with the broader Fixed Income & Debt team, Listed Assets, Asset Allocation team, Responsible Investments team, and Governance team.
- Back up and support the management of the internal Cash portfolio.
- Represent the Australian internal Fixed Team when meeting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Take primary responsibility for the investment strategy, portfolio construction, and day-to-day management of the internal Australian fixed income portfolio to deliver its risk and return objectives.
- Lead fundamental and quantitative research on interest rate and credit markets, including macroeconomic, valuation, and technical drivers.
- Ensure full adherence to Rest’s regulatory requirements, internal policies, and mandate guidelines.
About You
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline
- Ideally post-graduate qualifications e.g. Masters, CFA
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- Demonstrated, relevant experience with an excellent track record in managing Australian fixed income portfolios in either investment management and/or superannuation
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of global fixed income markets, macroeconomic analysis, portfolio theory, and designing investment solutions.
- Extensive experience in portfolio management and trading fixed income and cash investments across physical and derivative markets.
