About the Opportunity

Join Our Team at DFT Operator (DFTO) on the journey to GBR. DFTO is the government’s public sector rail owning group aiming to bring all privately-owned train operators into public ownership by 2027. DFTO is responsible for over 30,000 employees and delivers millions of customer journeys annually.

Responsibilities

• Drive successful project outcomes
• Provide professional project management service to clients
• Manage risk and stakeholder engagement
• Facilitate meetings and drive governance
• Manage procurement processes and suppliers
• Report on project budget and progress
• Maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Identify required business process and organizational changes

About You

Experienced in successfully delivering projects of varying complexity within different industries. Strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills. Membership of professional bodies and supplier management experience are desirable.

Eligibility

Duration: FTC or Secondment until October 2027

Location: Waterloo/Leeds/Birmingham

Salary: Up to £56,000

Closing Date: 22nd July 2026
