Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead generator projects in the power and data center industry. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects, ensuring they meet client requirements, budget constraints, and timelines. This role is critical to our mission of delivering reliable and high-performance power solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for generator installations and upgrades in power and data center environments. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution. Liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to align project objectives and maintain strong working relationships. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure project success. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and recommend process improvements. Manage contract negotiations, scope changes, claim management and stakeholder expectations effectively. Oversee procurement and logistics for generator equipment and associated components.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. At least 5 years of project management experience in the power generation, electrical, or data center industry. Proven experience managing generator or similar power infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of generator systems, power distribution, and integration with data center infrastructure. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations in power and data center environments. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and productivity software (e.g., MS Office Suite). Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for large-scale projects.

Soft Skills

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Strong communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams effectively. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results.

Certifications (Preferred)

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 certification. Certification in Agile or Scrum methodologies. WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) or equivalent safety training.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
