About the Opportunity

Project Director - (Life Science Construction) Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead and oversee large-scale projects in advanced manufacturing, technology, biopharmaceuticals, life sciences, and semiconductor industries. This role requires a dynamic professional with a strong background in electrical and mechanical automation, as well as general contracting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large-scale projects across advanced manufacturing, technology, biopharmaceuticals, life sciences, and semiconductor sectors.
  • Oversee all phases of project development, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to maintain project timelines.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates, reports, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Proven experience in managing large-scale projects in advanced manufacturing, technology, biopharmaceuticals, life sciences, or semiconductor industries. Strong expertise in electrical and mechanical automation systems. Background in general contracting is highly preferred. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.

Day-to-Day

  • Oversee daily project operations, ensuring all activities align with project goals and timelines.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor project progress and address any deviations from the plan.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review project milestones and address challenges.
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Review and approve project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and quality standards are strictly adhered to.
