About the Opportunity

TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. We provide health care services throughout South Africa to both the general population and communities at increased risk for HIV and TB, including adolescent girls and young women, sex workers and people who use drugs. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects to develop, implement, and support comprehensive programs for Key Populations.
  • Focus on prevention, treatment, and care initiatives, including addressing human rights violations and providing psychosocial interventions for Men Who Have Sex with Men (MSM).
  • Oversee the HIV Prevention Project as a key member of the Project Management Team.
  • Administer, organize, and coordinate all project activities effectively.
  • Ensure project objectives are met efficiently, such as reducing HIV transmission rates and increasing community awareness.
  • Maintain clear communication among team members, stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Organize regular meetings, monitor progress against project goals, and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Create a structured environment for the project to thrive and respond dynamically to challenges.
  • Foster collaboration and drive the project towards successful completion.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position should possess strong project coordination skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to HIV and TB prevention and care. You should be a team player with a solution-driven mindset and a passion for making a difference in the community.

Eligibility

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and experience in project coordination within the healthcare sector. Knowledge of HIV and TB prevention programs is highly desirable.
