About the Opportunity
AMC is a division within MCI that provides consultancy and event management services to associations active in the Asia Pacific Region.
Responsibilities
- Operations (30%)
- Work with other functional managers on initiatives to improve aspects of MCI and the clients’ business.
- Represent Business Support department on any operational matters or meetings in the event of the Business Support Manager’s absence.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities and others as assigned by Business Support Manager in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
- Disseminate information received from client contact point to the team members in a timely manner and ensure that the team members are fully briefed on the information received.
- Execute project from start to finish, analyzing data and present findings.
- Stakeholder Engagement (25%)
- Provide membership support service on behalf of AMC associations clients and their members.
- Identify client needs and propose strategies to meet their various project objectives.
- Provide regional product knowledge and technical expertise to client(s) for compliance issues and to management and other functions for market research purposes.
- Attends to member complaints received by team members.
- Ensure all 2nd level escalations are followed up and resolved timely and accurately.
- Manage telemarketing, translation, and other operational assistance projects.
- Market Development (35%)
- Maintain and improve performance level by identifying key trends and forecasts business needs through developing strategic, accurate and actionable data analysis.
- Identify opportunities, challenges, and workflow issues.
- Propose solutions with relevant functions and/or divisions.
- Communicate performance against objective with the individual team members and constantly monitor performance in terms of agreed key performance indicators.
- Strategy Development (10%)
- Plan for effective use of resources, anticipating resource needs to ensure consistent delivery of service standards are met and exceeded every day.
About You
You are aged 18 to 25 at the time of application. You are an undergraduate or graduate of a university in Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States. Well-rounded individuals pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Events Management, Marketing, Experience within the hospitality or MICE service sector, non-profit, NGO, association will be advantageous and the ability to adapt to changing needs and demands of key stakeholders/membership is important. Effective communication & proficiency in English with meticulous planning, and interpersonal skills are among your strengths.
Eligibility
Successful candidates need to apply for a Work Holiday Pass under the Work Holiday Programme from Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
