Responsibilities

  • Provide support during mobilization, execution, and demobilization of salvage projects.
  • Manage return logistics of salvage equipment and financial completion of projects.
  • Ensure good communication with project crew and personnel.
  • Provide operational support to the commercial department during initial emergency response stage.
  • Coordinate administrative and logistical support for equipment in the Cape Town warehouse.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate various activities related to SHEQ procedures and requirements.

About You

  • More than 5 years of working experience in the international maritime and/or offshore industry.
  • Hands-on, flexible, creative, proactive, and a team player.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays with compensation.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety rules.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Excellent mastery of both written and spoken English.
  • Based in South Africa, preferably Cape Town region.

About Company

Your team: As a project coordinator, you will work for SMIT Salvage Cape Town. You will work together with other Cape Town-based salvage colleagues and colleagues in other offices around the world.

Where you will work: You will work at our office in Cape Town and occasionally on projects.

Full-time: The project coordinator position is full-time (40 hours per week).
