Job Description

Job Title: Project CoordinatorLocation: Perth CBDHours: 7.5 hours per day (5 days per week)Duration: Initial 6 Month temporary positionStart date: as soon as possibleLevel: G7 Roles & responsibilitiesProvide project coordination support and professional advice to assist the successful delivery of a large project in Perth CBDAct as a key interface between contractors, facilities management teams, project teams and internal stakeholders to ensure day-to-day project activities are well coordinated.Review contractor documentation, including SWMS, JHAs, work requests and supporting safety documentation, ensuring required approvals and safety management processes are followed.Support contractors to be set up correctly to commence works, ensuring end-to-end processes, site requirements, governance structures and project controls are understood and followed.Maintain a practical technical understanding of building systems, trades interfaces and site operations, applying a project management perspective to support delivery outcomes.Monitor project deliverables, schedules, resources, risks, issues, interdependencies and critical path activities, escalating matters where required.Report on project timelines, milestones, key issues, risks, benefits and cost summaries.Maintain key project documentation, registers, plans, schedules, change requests, status reports, financial tracking and version control, including use of Aconex and other project systems.Participate in the project team environment by attending meetings, contributing to document reviews, responding to queries and supporting effective communication across stakeholders.Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of project governance processes, templates, tools and reporting requirements across the project space.What you’ll need to succeed/ ExperienceDemonstrated experience coordinating building, engineering, infrastructure or construction-related projects and contracts.Strong technical understanding of building services, facilities, trades or engineering environments, with the ability to interpret technical issues and communicate effectively with contractors.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, build relationships and liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels.Sound understanding of project governance, financial tracking, cost reporting, safety processes and documentation requirements within a capital works or construction environment.Proactive, organised and adaptable approach, with the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, solve problems and work effectively in a busy project team environment.Confidence using Microsoft Office and project/document management systems, with experience using Aconex highly regarded.Relevant qualifications in building, engineering, architecture, project management or a related discipline will be highly regarded, as will experience in healthcare facility projects.
