Responsibilities
- Supporting the Project Manager in the day-to-day administration and delivery of commercial construction projects
- Managing and coordinating project documentation, drawings and specifications (including BIM where applicable)
- Assisting with programming, planning and scheduling, including monitoring progress and proactively addressing delays
- Preparing progress claims, assessing subcontractor claims and variations, and supporting accurate cost reporting
- Contributing to tender preparation, bid documentation and pre-qualifications
- Coordinating site activities, services, structure and finishes to ensure constructability and program alignment
- Providing administrative, technical and contractual support to site based teams
- Undertaking site supervision when required and supporting site methodology and sequencing
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, building standards, company policies and QHSE requirements
- Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and mentoring junior team members and graduates
About You
You will have a passion for safety and previous experience within the commercial construction industry. You will be a motivated team player with the following knowledge and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in project administration and coordination on commercial construction projects
- Exposure to programming, cost reporting, subcontractor management and tendering processes
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working collaboratively with site teams, consultants and subcontractors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management systems
- Current White Card (First Aid and other safety certifications desirable)
