Preservation Portfolio Manager/Director

About the Opportunity

As a Portfolio Manager for Preservation Asset Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of an institutional investor in multifamily real estate partnerships. This role focuses on managing a portfolio of preservation-focused multifamily investments to optimize operational outcomes and ensure alignment with investor objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational performance of multifamily assets in institutional investment partnerships
• Act as a fiduciary for the investor, ensuring decisions align with agreements and return objectives
• Evaluate asset and fund performance against underwriting and benchmarks
• Identify value-add and risk-mitigation opportunities
• Maintain relationships with general partners and provide oversight
• Lead, coach, and manage team members
• Review reports, budgets, and variance explanations
• Conduct site inspections
• Prepare and deliver portfolio performance reports
• Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks

About You

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least five years of experience in institutional real estate investment or asset management. Supervisory and/or REIT experience is preferred.

Eligibility

Travel up to 40% may be required. Remote locations will be considered. Normal business hours with some additional hours as needed.
