Responsibilities

  • Provide a strong contribution to the strategic direction and design of the Equities asset class.
  • Take a leading role in the day-to-day management and implementation of the Equities asset class investment program, including monitoring and reviewing existing investments.
  • Make a key contribution to due diligence and investment selection.
  • Select and work closely with Investment Managers.
  • Lead the implementation and execution of investments in the Equities asset class, including working with other teams on various due diligence activities (e.g. legal, tax, and risk).
  • Make a leading contribution to asset class reviews and papers for the Investment Research Team, Investment Committee, and Board.
  • Provide broad input to investment ideas for the fund, making a key contribution to decision-making across the investment program.
  • Develop frameworks or processes to support or enhance research and investment decision making.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership as a senior member of the Investments team.

About You

We’re on the lookout for passionate individuals who embody our values. We’re after someone who’s driven by making smart investment decisions that positively influence our members' retirement outcomes. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Extensive experience working in an Investment Management function at either a Fund Manager, Superannuation Fund, Asset Consultant, or closely related business.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Equities, as well as a thorough understanding of broader investment markets.
  • Experience researching and assessing investment managers, constructing, and managing multi-manager portfolios.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in negotiating commercial terms.
  • The ability to work well in a team and lead by example.
  • A Bachelor degree in finance or related discipline required, with postgraduate finance studies (e.g. Masters of Applied Finance or CFA) considered favorably.
