Portfolio Manager – Accountancy Practice

Title: Client Accountancy Practice ManagerLocation: North London – Hybrid / RemoteSalary: Competitive, dependent on experience Our client is an established North London accountancy practice looking to appoint a qualified Client Accountancy Practice Manager. The role will involve managing a portfolio of SME and larger owner-managed businesses, including clients with turnover of £10m+, while overseeing and supporting the accounts team. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.Prepare and review VAT returns and other compliance work.Manage a portfolio of clients, including businesses with £10m+ turnover.Act as a key point of contact for clients.Manage team workloads, deadlines and workflow.Review work prepared by junior members of the team.Support and develop staff.Liaise with HMRC and external parties where required.Assist with corporation tax, management accounts and general practice work. Candidate RequirementsACA or ACCA qualified.Strong experience within an accountancy practice.Strong statutory accounts and VAT experience.Previous team management or supervisory experience is essential.Experience managing a portfolio of clients.Confident dealing directly with business owners and senior client contacts.Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, IRIS or similar.
