Portfolio Manager

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Portfolio Lead to provide end-to-end stewardship of our travel insurance portfolio across Claims, Portfolio, Pricing, Product and external Partners. Reporting to the Chief Insurance Officer, you’ll work closely with Lead Actuaries and the Head of Product.

Responsibilities

• Lead the portfolio performance rhythm including weekly monitoring, monthly deep dives and quarterly reviews.
• Maintain loss ratio and contribution margin within target bands by product, partner, and segment.
• Design and operate a robust early warning indicator framework across various metrics.
• Collaborate with Claims to identify and remediate drivers of frequency, severity, leakage, and recoveries.
• Prepare and present quarterly insurer performance packs and partner scorecards.
• Build trusted relationships across various departments and lead performance reporting discussions.
• Maintain portfolio playbooks and track KPIs, risks, and actions through governance forums.

About You

You should have 8+ years of experience in portfolio management, underwriting, or pricing within general or specialty insurance. Strong actuarial or analytical foundation is required, along with advanced Excel skills. Tertiary qualification in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance, or related discipline is preferred.
