Portfolio Manager

About the Opportunity

Portfolio Manager (ICT)
Location – Carseldine/ Brisbane, QLD (hybrid)
Contract – initial 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Provide portfolio-level oversight across multiple complex ICT programs and projects
  • Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and IT
  • Lead and coordinate governance and assurance activities
  • Deliver portfolio reporting covering risks, issues, delivery confidence, and performance
  • Undertake Senior Supplier role at governance boards
  • Support projects in establishing governance artefacts and reporting frameworks
  • Identify, escalate, and manage risks and delivery issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of governance and reporting frameworks

About You

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience managing portfolio or program-level ICT initiatives
  • Certification in recognised delivery methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, Agile) or experience working in hybrid delivery environments
  • Proven ability to engage and influence at senior executive and board level
  • Strong understanding of Queensland Government governance and assurance frameworks
  • Proven capability to drive alignment across business and technical stakeholders

Highly Desirable:

  • Tertiary or post-graduate qualifications in Business, IT, or related fields
  • Experience working within Queensland Government or highly regulated environments
  • Exposure to external reporting frameworks: Information Systems Committee (ISC), Digital Dashboard / Digital Investment Governance Framework (DIGF)
