The Role

We’re seeking a Head of Investments / Portfolio Manager to own ReachAlts’ investment function. You’ll manage our existing suite of private markets funds, lead the structuring and portfolio construction of new funds, and bring deep investment expertise to our bespoke work for wealth groups, where credible, first hand fund selection and due diligence are essential.

You’ll work closely with our Operations and Business Development teams to ensure proper coverage and the right exposure to appropriate wealth groups and investors. This is a senior, hands-on role for a genuine private markets investment professional who wants to own the investment side of a growing platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage ReachAlts’ existing private markets funds, including portfolio oversight, monitoring, and reporting to the investment committee.
• Lead the structuring and portfolio construction of new funds, ensuring they are scalable and meet operational and regulatory requirements.
• Lead fund and manager selection, due diligence, and investment analysis for ReachAlts’ bespoke funds, providing credible, first-hand investment expertise to wealth group clients.
• Conduct financial modeling, capital flow modeling, and portfolio construction across the fund range.
• Monitor underlying manager and fund performance, and report to the investment committee.
• Work closely with the Operations and Business Development teams to ensure proper coverage and appropriate exposure to wealth groups and investors.
• Represent ReachAlts credibly to sophisticated investors, wealth groups, and underlying global fund managers, including investment teach-ins and presentations.
• Participate in the investment committee and board approval processes.

About You

Deep, demonstrable experience in private markets or alternatives investment. This is essential, not preferred.

Strong track record in fund and manager selection, due diligence, financial modeling and fund structuring or portfolio construction.

The investment judgment and gravitas to be credible in front of sophisticated wealth group clients and their advisers.

Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable leading teach-ins and presenting to investment committees and boards.

Tertiary qualification in finance, economics, or a related discipline. CFA or similar advantageous.

Comfortable in a lean, scaling business. Hands-on, collaborative, high integrity.
