Facilities Project Coordinator

Job Description

Location: On-Site--East Hartford/Middletown Type: Contract To hire Overview We are seeking a Facilities Project Coordinator to support commercial construction, renovation, and facilities projects within a large campus environment. This individual will assist with office buildouts, workspace renovations, furniture moves, and facility improvement projects while coordinating vendors, contractors, schedules, and project documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in construction coordination, facilities management, project administration, or commercial renovations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects at once. Responsibilities Coordinate small to mid-sized construction, renovation, and facilities projects from planning through completionDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and project documentationCoordinate contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project executionSupport site readiness activities and oversee project logisticsTrack project costs, change orders, scope updates, and customer requestsReview contractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and complianceAssist with bid package preparation and procurement of materials, equipment, and servicesFacilitate pre-construction meetings and communicate project timelines and requirementsCoordinate furniture installation, office moves, and workspace reconfigurationsCreate and update move plans and facility drawings using AutoCADProvide regular project status updates and maintain organized project records Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience supporting commercial construction, facilities, or project coordination activitiesExperience working with office renovations, tenant improvements, or commercial construction projectsAbility to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneouslyStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsExperience reviewing project budgets, schedules, and project documentationAutoCAD experience required Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience working within a corporate campus, facilities, or property management environmentFamiliarity with furniture planning, space utilization, and move coordination What Makes Someone Successful in this Role Strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and drive projects forwardComfortable interacting with contractors, vendors, and business stakeholdersExcellent organizational and follow-through skillsAbility to balance administrative coordination with on-site project support This role is ideal for candidates coming from backgrounds such as Project Coordinator, Construction Coordinator, Facilities Coordinator, Facilities Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, Workplace Services Coordinator, or Commercial Construction Administrator. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Hartford, CT. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
