An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced safety leader to join a high-profile program focused on strengthening safety governance, assurance, and compliance across a complex operational environment. This role will involve working closely with senior executives and key stakeholders to drive a strong safety culture, enhance reporting and assurance frameworks, and provide strategic advice on safety-related matters.
You will play a critical role in influencing organizational outcomes, improving safety performance, and ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory obligations. Offering a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on engagement, this position provides the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant work while leading meaningful change and continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting to a senior leader, you will provide leadership and oversight of safety assurance activities across a complex and operationally focused environment.
Key responsibilities include:
You are a highly experienced safety leader with a strong background in safety assurance, governance, compliance, and risk management within complex and highly regulated environments. You bring a strategic mindset combined with a practical, solutions-focused approach, enabling you to confidently navigate operational challenges while maintaining a strong focus on safety outcomes.
Comfortable working with senior executives and a broad range of stakeholders, you are recognized for your ability to provide trusted advice, influence decision-making, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership style is collaborative and engaging, with a proven ability to build capability, develop high-performing teams, and foster a positive safety culture.
You possess strong analytical and investigative skills, with experience interpreting and applying complex legislative and regulatory requirements. $110/hr – $130/hr + Super
