About the Opportunity

Alexander Young is a specialist advisory firm supporting small and medium-sized businesses across diverse industry sectors. The firm provides comprehensive services, including accounting and bookkeeping, corporation and self-assessment tax returns, payroll, and company secretarial support. In addition, Alexander Young offers strategic business planning to help clients grow and optimize performance. The firm also undertakes ad hoc tax advisory work, giving clients access to tailored solutions for complex financial and tax matters.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
• Reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
• Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns
• Advising clients on accounting and tax matters
• Reviewing and supporting junior team members
• Liaising with HMRC and Companies House
• Attending client meetings and identifying advisory opportunities

About You

Qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Has at least 5 years’ recent UK accountancy practice experience
• Has experience managing a client portfolio
• Is confident reviewing accounts and tax returns independently
• Has strong knowledge of IRIS and Xero
• Enjoys building long-term client relationships
