City Centre Project Director (City Centre Programme)

Secondment, 12 months.

PLEASE NOTE – THIS ROLE ONLY RELATES TO THE CITY CENTRE PROGRAMME ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE PROFILE AND NOT THE CIVIC CENTRE.

This vacancy is only available for applications from existing Internal Plymouth City Council employees and Agency Workers who are in an active placement and have 12 weeks continuous service within the Growth directorate. Applications submitted by External candidates who do not meet this criteria will not be considered and will be rejected.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the City Living Framework and City Centre Masterplan projects
  • Manage key stages of the project from baseline stage to adoption
  • Coordinate multiple regeneration schemes and work programme
  • Establish and operate City Centre governance and strategic boards
  • Provide strategic advice on city centre matters
  • Secure and manage grant funding
  • Lead delivery of new city centre regeneration initiatives

About You

In this role, you will report directly to the Service Director for SP&I and become an interim member of the SP&I Management Team. However, you will work closely with the Strategic Director and Growth DMT, in particular the Service Directors for Economic Development and Team Plymouth.
