Role Introduction
Reports to: Head of Crew Tracking and Operations Transformation
The Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) works round the clock to support our flight crew and ground employees in unexpected situations. We are the first point of contact in an emergency, and we help Flight Operations exercise operational control. The mission of IOC is to balance priorities of all the frontline operational sections, maintain schedule regularity and act in a safe, legal and cost-effective manner to recover the schedule after disruption.
As the Business Project Manager, you will contribute operationally to the achievement of business objectives by delivering project management services in Crew Tracking System Programme. You are responsible to lead all business unit resources in Crew Tracking System, and plan the detail tasks for business unit resources. You will manage detailed business activity plans such as requirement workshops and ensure milestones are completed on time.
Key Responsibilities
Drive, plan and direct all Business Unit project activities within the Crew Tracking System project to ensure that project objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parametersManage the dynamic project team of individuals. Provide thoughtful leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycleCommunicate and escalate risks and issues clearly and concisely and to support management with the preparation of action plans. Attention to detail, and ability to organise and prioritize workload for the teamWork closely with the Business Readiness Manager to ensure end to end process definition and practices are in placeDevelop and implement project plans, including defining tasks, timelines, and resource allocationAct as a liaison between project teams, and all stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaborationIdentify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.Track project performance, providing updates to top management and making necessary adjustments to meet objectivesDrive team for quality deliverables from Vendor Work with Testing Lead to ensure/support functional test deliverables – test approach/strategy, test plan, test execution schedule, test case, traceability matrices and test summary report as appropriate
Requirements
Degree holder in Information Technology, Business or related areaMinimum 10 years of project management experience with at least 5 years in project manager role. Previous Airline experience would be an advantageProven experience in managing projects with ability to multitask and manage multiple small to medium projects in a cross-functional environmentDetailed knowledge of the following disciplines: project and program delivery, portfolio management, application development management, infrastructure development management, vendor management, service transition and cutover planningTechnical proficiency in system software, as well as experience implementing packages and working with vendors
