Senior Certification Project Manager (Physical Security)

We are now looking for a Senior Certification Project Manager to lead complex security product approval projects from initial enquiry through to certification delivery. Working across national and international standards, the role plays a key part in delivering high-quality certification services and supporting the continued growth of BRE’s Physical Security capabilities. Your role at BRE The Senior Certification Project Manager leads the delivery of physical security product evaluation, testing, and certification projects within BRE’s Assurance Division, ensuring projects are managed efficiently and delivered in line with national, international, and LPCB standards. Key Responsibilities And Tasks Delivery of all stages of evaluation and certification projects for physical security products designed to prevent manual forced entry, in accordance with a range of national and international standards, as well as LPS standards (developed by BRE) and client specifications. Such products include doorsets, enclosures, facades and walling systems.Oversee testing, evaluation, and certification activities in accordance with relevant standards and client specificationsDevelop test plans and coordinate project delivery to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality requirementsManage bespoke certification and evaluation projects on behalf of clientsPrepare technical proposals and maintain strong client engagement throughout the project lifecycleProvide technical review and sign-off support for reports and certification processesSupport and guide team members through technical leadership, training, and process oversightEngage with specifiers, end users, and stakeholders regarding security testing and certification activitiesRepresent BRE at exhibitions, conferences, standards committees, and industry working groupsSupport the continued growth and development of BRE’s Physical Security services and certification capabilities What We Are Looking For Strong experience managing certification, testing, or technical assurance projects within a security, certification, or compliance environmentUnderstanding of physical security products, technologies, and associated testing and certification processesKnowledge of national, international, and LPCB standards relating to security product evaluation and certificationExperience developing project plans, quotations, technical proposals, and certification documentationAbility to manage complex projects through all stages of delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and timescale requirements are metExperience reviewing technical reports and supporting certification decision-making processesUnderstanding of accreditation, quality management systems, and audit requirements, including ISO 9001 and ISO 27001Strong client engagement and stakeholder management capabilityExperience supporting, guiding, or mentoring technical team membersExcellent organisational, communication, and project coordination skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capability with attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and ExcelTechnical qualification in a relevant discipline, ideally degree level or equivalent practical experienceCommitment to maintaining the quality, integrity, and reputation of ’s Physical Security certification services BRE Benefits At BRE, we offer a competitive salary, reviewed annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your financial security, well-being, and career development. You will need to be within commuting distance of our Watford office, as you will be expected to attend in person (Once per week).
