Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager

About the Opportunity

My client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager who is approaching taking the APC to become RICS qualified to join them in their City of London office. Projects are generally of high value and there is a particular need currently for people to work on cladding remediation projects for large residential buildings along with other residential, education, healthcare, and some commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation
• Procure contractors and suppliers
• Provide cost control, contract administration, and financial reporting
• Organize meetings and take minutes

About You

You will either be a Quantity Surveyor with an interest in Project Management or a Project Manager with some experience of cost management. You must have at least two years post-graduation experience of working with another firm of consultants / PQS. You should be working towards taking the APC towards becoming RICS qualified. You will need to have a recognized UK qualification in Quantity Surveying, i.e. BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or Construction Project Management.

Eligibility

• Minimum of 2 years post-graduation experience
• Working towards becoming RICS qualified
• UK qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Experience with cost control, contract administration, procurement, and tendering
• Experience with financial reporting
• Experience with JCT contracts
