Portfolio Manager – Private Markets

About the Opportunity

Ghobash Group capitalizes on opportunities within promising industry sectors by either acquiring existing companies or establishing new businesses. Aligned with the needs of a growing portfolio, the Group established Aban Investment to administer a host of centralized business functions (finance, legal, HR, marketing, etc.) all aimed at delivering greater cost efficiencies, value, and best practices to each of its business units.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Group’s Private Markets sub-portfolio
• Ensure alignment with investment guidelines, risk limits, and long-term value objectives
• Develop and implement an approved portfolio strategy
• Screen for new investment ideas across various sectors
• Conduct deep research and analysis of funds, companies, and market trends
• Stay informed about market and macro-economic trends
• Monitor the portfolio and implement internal controls
• Manage private markets resources efficiently
• Supervise operational functions of investment activity
• Report to Investment Committee based on agreed framework
• Represent the Group effectively within the investment community
• Measure and manage risks of the Private Markets portfolio

About You

Bachelor’s degree combined with an MBA or Master’s in Finance/Accounting
CFA is preferred
10+ years of work experience in private markets investments
Hands-on experience with fundamental analysis, due diligence, and corporate valuation
