The Role
As the National Portfolio Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of the performance of Sentinel's national portfolio of commercial, industrial, and retail assets. Reporting directly to the Head of Property Management, you will be the subject matter expert the business relies on leading a high-performing team, driving financial and operational outcomes, and providing the advice that shapes how the portfolio performs.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will manage the full financial cycle across the portfolio, partner with the leasing team to unlock income opportunities, and drive continuous improvement across processes, projects, and people.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience managing a commercial, industrial, and/or retail property portfolio at a senior level, with a strong track record of leading high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen across budgeting, reforecasting, arrears management, and end-of-month processes.
- Demonstrated success partnering with leasing teams to identify income opportunities and shape portfolio and leasing strategy.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to present clearly to C-suite and represent the department at senior forums.
- A strategic, collaborative leadership style, with experience mentoring teams to achieve business objectives.
- A current Real Estate Licence and tertiary qualifications in Real Estate, Property Economics, or a related discipline are highly regarded, but not essential.
What You'll Do
- Take full ownership of the national portfolio's performance, acting as the subject matter expert across property and facilities management.
- Manage the end-of-month process, reforecasting, budget preparation, wash-up reviews, breach notices, and arrears management with precision.
- Deliver clear, timely arrears and performance reporting to the Head of Property Management to support sound decision-making.
- Lead and mentor the property management team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a high standard of client service.
- Partner with the leasing team to identify income opportunities and shape the portfolio's leasing strategy.
- Review Capex projects, represent the property department at weekly management meetings, and drive continuous improvement across processes and policies.
