About the Opportunity

Project Director Commercial Workplace Design & Build Commercial Fit-Out | Pre-Construction Leadership | London Haus Careers is proud to be partnering with a well-known workplace design and build company on the search for a Project Director to join their growing leadership team in London. Part of a wider workplace group, the studio delivers agile, design-led workplace projects that combine creativity, commercial intelligence and speed of delivery. Their work is centred around creating high-performing environments for forward-thinking clients, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, innovation and quality execution. This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Director or senior pre-construction lead to take ownership of high-value commercial fit-out projects from the earliest client conversations through to contract award and delivery handover.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagement throughout the pre-construction and bid stages
  • Drive pitch, proposal and tender processes from inception to contract award
  • Provide senior oversight across design, technical, commercial and delivery teams
  • Manage feasibility studies, buildability reviews and project risk
  • Oversee cost planning, programme strategy and value engineering exercises
  • Build strong relationships with consultants, subcontractors and supply-chain partners
  • Ensure a smooth and robust transition into delivery phases
  • Support business growth through networking and lead generation opportunities

About You

Proven experience within commercial workplace design and build Strong background leading pre-construction projects and bid processes Commercially astute with excellent programme management capability Confident in client-facing and stakeholder leadership roles Able to balance strategic oversight with hands-on project involvement Degree qualified or equivalent within construction, architecture or related disciplines
