About the Opportunity

The National Institute for Undersea Vehicle Technology (NIUVT) is an innovative academic, industry and government partnership established to conduct applied research projects at the University of Connecticut and the University of Rhode Island. We provide high-value research outcomes to the Navy through short-term, high-impact research projects in 12 areas of engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project master operating documents and tracking spreadsheets with very close attention to detail.
  • Enforce research security and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Ensure contract and deliverable milestones are met.
  • Coordinate research group meetings with partners.
  • Plan and execute program review meetings.
  • Facilitate collaboration between partners.
  • Communicate new processes and procedures to faculty and stakeholders.
  • Onboard new student researchers.
  • Organize faculty and student meetings.
  • Attend meetings with partners.
  • Prepare reports for stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with faculty and students.
  • Maintain SharePoint and materials for compliance and training.

About You

The ideal candidate has the ability and/or willingness to hold or obtain a DOD security clearance.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree and three to four years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated organizational skills within large/complex programs and attention to detail. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Salary range: $57,505 to $74,756.
