Assistant Portfolio Manager (JNR) – Credit Trading Desk – Global Hedge Fund

About the Opportunity

A multi-billion dollar AUM multi-strategy Hedge Fund is looking to hire a junior specifically for its high-performing European credit trading business. The Assistant Portfolio Manager will work closely with exceptional PM’s, Traders, and Researchers and will be trained to cover a broad credit investment remit.

Responsibilities

• Trade execution
• Trade booking
• Analyzing market reports to support trading decisions
• Monitoring risk
• Maintaining trades/trading instruments

About You

We are specifically looking for candidates with 2-3 years of experience in an operations/middle office/trader assistant role, looking to transition to the front office. A strong background in credit is a prerequisite. Programming skills, especially in Python and SQL, are highly beneficial. STEM academics are preferred.

Eligibility

A high performer can move internally into an outright trading role, or into an investment analyst position within 2 years.
