About the Opportunity

ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines - the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and key documentation
  • Coordinate day-to-day project activities and stakeholder engagement across multiple teams
  • Assist with bid and tender processes by coordinating inputs and timelines
  • Prepare and manage project reporting, including weekly and monthly updates
  • Track project progress, risks, issues, and actions to ensure timely delivery
  • Support budget tracking and maintain accurate financial records
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice project delivery

About You

You are a proactive and organised professional with a passion for project coordination and stakeholder collaboration.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in project coordination or administration within a structured environment
  • Understanding of project management principles and lifecycle phases
  • Strong organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation and data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Desirable

  • Experience in Defence, government, heavy industry or a regulated environment
  • Relevant qualification in Project Management, Business, or similar
  • Australian Government Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and a Baseline Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances.
