Sponsorship Portfolio Manager

About the Opportunity

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us. We are looking for a Sponsorship Portfolio Manager to join our Research & Development Department.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement appropriate processes to ensure adequate sponsor oversight for all Trust sponsored studies.
• Provide assurance to Trust Management regarding compliance with research governance and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct on-site and remote monitoring across the Trust.
• Review study protocols and monitor compliance with UK Clinical Trial Regulations and GCP.
• Create and oversee Corrective and Preventative Action Plans.
• Provide specialist training to research staff on research governance and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development of local SOPs.
• Prepare the Trust for regulatory inspections related to research.

About You

This role requires a dynamic, out-going individual with good IT skills and a strong understanding of study set-up and delivery processes. The successful candidate should have experience in medical research methodology and clinical trial regulations.

Eligibility

Essential criteria:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent research experience.
• Experience in medical research methodology and clinical trial regulations.
• Good Clinical Practice Training (GCP).
• Thorough understanding of systems supporting clinical care in a research environment.
• Knowledge of research governance and quality assurance systems.

Desirable criteria:

• Experience in a large teaching hospital or University.
• Commercial research experience.
• Previous experience with IRAS for R&D applications.
