Responsibilities
- Interact with Private bankers and their clients to discuss macroeconomics, bond markets, portfolio positioning and performance, team views and the macro-outlook.
- Pitching GSAM CFI’s capabilities as well as the broader capabilities of the GSAM FI offering across mutual funds and ETFs.
- Oversee portfolio implementation, including cash deployment, duration alignment, liquidity considerations, and security eligibility checks across multiple SMA strategies.
- Act as a key partner to PWM teams ensuring they, and their underlying clients, have confidence in GSAM’s continuous portfolio oversight and that they receive timely market insight and portfolio commentary.
- Manage mandate guidelines and account-level restrictions, including approving changes, resolving discrepancies with operations, monitoring trading, and ensuring alignment across various firm systems.
- Coordinate cross-functionally across global GSAM Fixed Income teams, PWM, trading, operations, legal, compliance, onboarding, tax, and data teams to ensure mandates are launched, invested and monitored effectively.
About You
The ideal candidate is passionate about fixed income markets, macroeconomics, portfolio management, investment implementation, and delivering a high-quality client experience. This role is suited to an individual who has client-facing experience and can discuss markets, macro-economic themes and portfolio positioning. They should also be able to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and solve problems at the intersection of investment management, guidelines, onboarding, and client service.
Eligibility
- Strong knowledge of fixed income markets and macroeconomics.
- Client-facing experience and excellent communication skills, with the ability to conduct both sales and portfolio review meetings.
- Ability to manage complex workflows, operate under time pressure, and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a globally distributed team.
