Project Coordinator

Job Description

About the Opportunity

At Severn Trent, we don’t just take care of life’s essentials — we help shape a better future. Every drop of water we deliver, every community we support, and every environment we protect fuels our purpose. And now, we’re gearing up for something truly transformational.

We’ve launched our largest and most ambitious investment programme ever — nearly £13 billion over five years. That includes a staggering £6 billion capital programme, more than double the size of our last one. This is your chance to be part of a once‑in‑a‑generation opportunity to drive real change across our region.

As part of this mission, we’re evolving how we work — strengthening our processes, building smarter ways of operating, and ensuring we deliver with clarity, pace, and impact. The work you’ll support will help tackle some of society’s biggest challenges, including:

  • Flooding
  • Water quality
  • Waste and water infrastructure resilience
  • Environmental and community wellbeing

This is not just a job — it’s a role with real purpose. You’ll be helping to deliver outcomes that matter to millions of people, today and for generations to come.

Whether you already have experience in project management or you’re ready to step into a role where you can grow, learn, and make a genuine difference, we want to hear from you.

Bring your curiosity, your energy, your organisational superpowers — and we’ll give you the platform to thrive.

It could be the biggest challenge of your career. If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you.

As Project Coordinator, you will:

  • Create and update project schedules and plans
  • Monitor progress against the plans to ensure timely achievement
  • Schedule meetings, organize agendas, and involve internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare project-related documents and data
  • Work with stakeholders to gather input and support decision-making
  • Keep stakeholders informed and share best practices and lessons learned

About You

  • Experience in a similar Project Coordinator role
  • Strong co-ordination and communication skills
  • Ability to deliver positive and challenging messages

  • Experience with SAP is advantageous

Eligibility

Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too. We welcome and celebrate diverse individuals, knowing they help us better serve our communities. We seek people who get involved, want to be part of something bigger, and make a difference because they care.

Benefits

How we’ll reward and care for you:

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (with the ability to buy/sell up to 5 additional days per year)
