About the Opportunity

Gleeds is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join their Energy team and play a key role in delivering major projects within nuclear defence frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of early-stage cost estimates and commercial strategy
• Operate NEC and other forms of contract ensuring compliance
• Liaise with design and planning teams to embed commercial considerations
• Manage contractor and supplier engagement
• Support or lead a small commercial team
• Provide cost planning, budget monitoring, and cost control
• Maintain accurate financial reporting and forecasting
• Conduct value engineering and whole-life cost analysis

About You

The ideal candidate should be HNC, HND, or Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, or similar discipline. Experience in the Construction or engineering sector, particularly within the Nuclear or Civil engineering field, is essential. Strong communication skills, contract knowledge (including NEC3 and NEC4), and professional qualifications/memberships (RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS) are desirable.
