Project Director

About the Opportunity

Building a sustainable tomorrow. BAM is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Director to join our ASTI Onshore team in Scotland. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in both the pre-construction and construction phases of major civil engineering projects, delivering critical infrastructure that supports future renewable developments across Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing billings and cost procedures during preconstruction
• Responsible for ensuring Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) matters are managed on the Project
• Providing Project Management skills to ensure that all contractual requirements are met
• Provide assistance to the site Project Managers on constructability issues during the planning phase of a project and manage the resource allocation to any early construction activities that may take place during this phase of a project
• Support the Commercial Manager and Area Commercial Manager in administering subcontracts

About You

What do you bring to the role?

• Degree, HND in Engineering or equivalent
• Successful experience and performance at Project Manager level (or equivalent as deemed appropriate by Senior Management)
• Must be able to demonstrate leadership and management capabilities to manage a single project of complexity and value
• Detailed working knowledge of the construction environment and forms of contract used upon the operational projects for which the individual is responsible
• Specialist Technical or Managerial Knowledge, aligned to the specific nature of the project for which the individual is responsible
