Portfolio Manager – Japan Long/Short Equities (Discretionary or Systematic – Japan-Based)

About the Role

AAA is partnering with a high-growth trading firm launching a new algorithmic trading pod in London. As part of this buildout, we’re hiring a Japan-focused Long/Short Equity PM to run a strategy with full autonomy over research, risk, and infrastructure decisions. This is a rare opportunity to help build a platform from the ground up, backed by strong capital and world-class tech.

What You'll Do

• Run a discretionary or systematic Japan L/S equities strategy
• Generate high-conviction ideas and execute with discipline
• Own the full investment process: idea generation, risk, execution, and monitoring
• Collaborate with trading and research to optimize performance
• Operate with full transparency and accountability

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record running Japan L/S equity strategies
• Deep knowledge of Japanese markets and stock selection
• Strong investment process (discretionary or systematic)
• Willing to relocate to Tokyo (if not already based there)
