About the Opportunity

Project Director - Trade Fair & Conference for Digital Marketing & E-Commerce

Role Overview

The Project Director is fully accountable for the strategic, commercial, and overall success of a flagship APAC trade fair and conference in digital marketing, martech, and e-commerce. The event is the joint APAC edition of two established European event brands, developed and delivered in partnership by Koelnmesse Pte Ltd and CloserStill Media.

Acting as the driving force, public face, and single point of accountability for the event, the Project Director leads its end-to-end development, builds market credibility, ensures alignment between both organizers, and delivers strong commercial and brand outcomes. Reporting to both organizers within a jointly agreed governance framework, the role carries full P&L responsibility and requires strong commercial acumen, industry credibility, and the ability to align multiple stakeholders behind a shared vision.

Key Qualifications & Experience

Senior experience in B2B trade fairs, conferences, or large-scale industry events, preferably within digital, technology, or commerce sectors. Proven track record of P&L ownership and commercial leadership. Strong personal network and credibility within digital marketing, martech, and/or e-commerce industries. Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills. Comfortable acting as a visible, outward-facing leader and public representative.
