Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver high-value industrial installation, relocation, and decommissioning projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders through all project phases from planning and execution through to completion and handover.
The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of industrial installation, machinery relocation, and decommissioning projects
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment
- Implement and enforce health, safety, environmental, and quality standards on site
- Monitor project performance and provide regular reporting on progress, risks, and financials
- Resolve technical, logistical, and operational challenges
- Manage change control processes and contractual obligations
- Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline
- Proven experience managing large-scale industrial installation or decommissioning projects
- Strong commercial and financial management capability
- Experience working within heavy industrial, manufacturing, or facility environments
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Willingness to travel and work on-site as required
Desirable
- Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, APM or equivalent)
- Knowledge of industry regulatory and compliance standards
- Steel Works environment exposure
