What You'll Do

To coordinate, plan and ensure all installation, upgrade and maintenance jobs in the designated APAC locations run smoothly, while utilizing our resources efficiently.

The day-to-day

General

  • Identify, assess and prioritize all installation, upgrade and maintenance jobs in the designated APAC locations
  • Manage allocation of engineer resources
  • Report status of completed and planned installations and maintenance to Team Lead
  • Ensure safety and quality control of work performed
  • Report/escalate any issues to line manager

Installation/Upgrade Jobs

  • Process installation/upgrade jobs handed over from Project manager or Sales
  • Establish contact and plan services with the customer
  • Obtain PO for the job where applicable
  • Dispatch Engineer when needed
  • Manage travel arrangements where applicable
  • Check that documentation is updated by engineers after services are completed
  • Arrange follow-up service if required
  • Record complete and accurate information on service job status, including updating of SharePoint, service calendar, Install Central, and any other relevant information management system

Preventative Maintenance Jobs

  • Actively plan preventative maintenance in the region
  • Establish contact and plan services with the customer
  • Obtain PO for the job where applicable
  • Dispatch Engineer when needed
  • Manage travel arrangements where applicable
  • Check that documentation is updated by engineers after services are completed
  • Arrange follow-up service if required
  • Record complete and accurate information on service job status, including updating of SharePoint, OTRS, service calendar, Inmarsat Maritime Management System, CRM, Install Central, and any other relevant information management system

What You'll Need

Requirements should describe the immediate, base-level experience needed for the role and nothing more. The less prescriptive we are, the more flexible our hiring decision can be. Requirements should be measurable. Soft skills belong in Preferences.

What Will Help You On The Job

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Technical qualification at Diploma level or Bachelor level
  • Lack of education can be replaced by relevant experience
  • Technical knowledge with understanding and/or hands-on experience in IT or Telecommunication
  • Technical knowledge with understanding and/or hands-on experience in technical drawings like Visio or AutoCAD
  • Project management experience from maritime related industry or similar
  • 3-5 years' relevant experience within technical resource coordination
