What we are looking forThis well known organisation is on the hunt for a leader in Assessment Management to develop and manage strategy for its large portfolio in the capacity of Director Asset Management.
Job PurposeLead the implementation of the organisation's Asset Management System for the project Portfolio, ensuring alignment with standards and integration with other key management systems. Provide direction to implement asset management strategies, policies, and procedures thereby enhancing asset utilization and compliance while supporting the organization’s overall strategic objectives.
Core ResponsibilitiesLead in developing the corporate Asset Management Strategy for managing assets life cycle and implementing sustainability strategy.Ensure effective financial planning and management of assets throughout their lifecycle in a safe, efficient, optimized, and sustainable manner to maximize stakeholder value and ensure that changes to performance measures, asset lifecycle management, risk management, asset planning, etc., are captured in the asset management system.Ensure all Project Portfolio assets are planned via Copperleaf AIP software.Create and implement systems and policies to ensure full digital asset creation, inclusive of involvement with asset planning, procurement and creation. Ensure project portfolio digital twin status and data transfer to Maximo.Oversee the implementation of IMS Policy, Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP), Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and procedures.Monitor the availability of physical assets and ensure compliance and conformity, suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the Assets, Asset Management and Asset Management System to the ISO 55001 standard requirements, the organisation's enterprise risk management and compliance framework. Ensure the conformity of asset management practices within the organization to ensure alignment with established policies, strategies, and plans.Develop plans to improve corporate asset management maturity through the development and implementation of the Asset Management System and IAM Framework. Provide guidance to implement Asset Investment Planning system for all the capital investments within the organisation.Liaise with Quality Assurance for the annual audit plan of clusters and subsidiaries and direct closure of corrective action plan within the scope of the integrated management system.Ensure objectives and asset performance results for all Business Units and subsidiaries (as directed) are monitored and reported to the asset management system.
People Management ResponsibilitiesImplement effective performance evaluation mechanisms that measure key performance indicators, foster continuous improvement, and enhance productivity.Identify skill gaps and training requirements for the teams to ensure consistent high performance. Develop a strong leadership framework within the team to encourage professional advancement and leadership skills among team members through mentoring and leadership training programs.
Strategic ResponsibilitiesAct as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on Asset management system best practices and trends.Foster a forward-thinking approach that anticipates future trends and prepares the department to adapt to technological advancements and market changes.Ensure that all asset management activities comply with international standards such as ISO 55001 and local regulatory requirements. Oversee the integration of these standards into daily operations to maintain high levels of quality and safety.Enhance communication and collaboration with key stakeholders to align asset management strategies with broader organizational goals.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in related engineering field. Master's degree is a plus IAM CertificationA minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role
