Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the pre-contract phase of complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations
• Develop and implement strategic project plans, including risk assessment, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Negotiate and review contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare comprehensive project proposals and bid documents
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project challenges
• Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates and financial projections for projects
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, as well as industry best practices
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing pre-contract department
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to continuously improve pre-contract processes and outcomes

About You

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 15+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on pre-contract activities. Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale projects in the UAE construction or engineering sector. In-depth knowledge of contract negotiation, risk assessment, and budgeting processes. Strong understanding of UAE construction industry regulations and international contract law. Proficiency in FIDIC contract forms and other relevant contract structures. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff. Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders. Experience in vertical projects is required.
