Project Coordinator (IT) – Contractors – Hobart

Job Description

About the Opportunity

The Gig
To all project delivery pros!
We’re building our merit pool for Project Coordinators ready to dive into project and large delivery programs.
You’ll be keeping projects humming along – wrangling schedules, reports, risks, issues, and budgets, while linking up clinical, tech, and vendor teams to nail delivery. We’re after operators who can hold their own in a fast-paced, multi-project environment, adapt on the fly, and keep stakeholders in the loop.
We know because we do – as contractors ourselves, we’ve lived in these trenches, steering enterprise gigs, wrangling programs, and making cloud and government systems tick. That’s why we’re dead serious about spotting the best talent, then helping you thrive in your contract career.

Responsibilities

  • Back the Portfolio Director, Program Managers and delivery teams.
  • Plan, schedule, and track projects, including financial forecasting.
  • Keep risk registers, comms plans, and status reports sharp and up to date.
  • Coordinate meetings and workshops with customers, tech teams, and vendors.
  • Spot and escalate risks before they become dramas.
  • Chip in on change management – impact assessments, readiness, and adoption.
  • Provide the execs with clear, accurate reporting so they can make the big calls.
  • Help drive a culture of innovation and connected systems.

About You

Essential kit
3+ years’ experience in project coordination or similar roles (utilities, IT, healthcare, or gov). Good grip on project management approaches (Agile, Waterfall) and tools like MS Project, JIRA, Confluence. Proven ability to juggle multiple interdependent projects. Sharp analytical skills – you know your way around variance reports. Strong comms and interpersonal skills – you can adapt your style to different crowds. Organised and able to handle shifting priorities without losing the plot. Familiarity with change management and human-centred design in big orgs. A self-starter who can lead small teams or tasks, while boosting the team vibe.

Eligibility

Work rights
