Role Summary
You will perform a range of administrative, coordination, and technical duties related to client projects within the Health Economics team, as well as supporting company and team initiatives.
- Salary: £35,000 per annum

About The Role
Our Health Economics team has grown significantly in the last few years, both in terms of the team's size and their breadth of projects and clients they are working with. As a result, we have an exciting new role available for a Project Coordinator to join the team.
You will work closely with Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) teams to support with a wide range of administrative, project coordination and technical tasks. Most of your time will be spent overseeing the delivery of technical project to our clients in the healthcare sector. This will include identifying and suggesting improvements to processes, as well as implementation of these changes, with the aim of enhancing quality and efficiency within the team and, where appropriate, across the wider company. You may also work on internal projects that contribute to the successful operation of your team.
The following sections outline the service areas you will be working in, as well as the focus of their projects:
- The Health Economics team develop economic models to inform decisions on the efficient allocation of resources available to healthcare providers, and to communicate these insights to a variety of stakeholders in the healthcare industry. These economic models are quantitative assessments of the impact of healthcare treatments, practices and policies, either through cost-effectiveness analyses or separate cost and benefit considerations
- The HTA team focus on demonstrating the value of a treatment to help ensure it is made available to patients who could benefit from them. These projects often include the development of health technology assessments, which are formal applications to get drugs approved for use on the NHS. This work includes the analysis and interpretation of clinical evidence and the communication of the findings from simple and complex economic models in a variety of formats
Key responsibilities may include:
- Reviewing and ensuring quality and consistency of technical documents, including reports, manuscripts, statistical analysis plans, economic model specification documents, abstracts and posters
- Supporting with the write up of methods and results of clinical and economic analyses into engaging reports
- Searching online databases for model inputs and extracting relevant data into Excel
- Reformatting scientific documents to meet client requirements and/or submission guidelines
- Assisting Project Managers with client communications and progress reports that enhance customer service
- Coordinating project team and monitoring of project timelines, in collaboration with the project manager
- Scheduling meetings, recording minutes and coordinating their distribution
- Reviewing project budgets, proofreading client proposals, and supporting resource planning to optimise team productivity
- Managing referencing and preparing reference packs of technical materials
- Taking ownership of tasks in our project management system to support the correct budgeting and invoicing of projects
- Helping project teams to keep abreast of the latest sources of information and industry guidelines to inform their project work, and keeping all team resources up to date
- Organising internal team meetings and activities
Hybrid Working Policy
We offer flexible working arrangements that allow our colleagues who have passed probation to work from home up to half their time, measured across a 2-week rolling period. During your probationary period (normally the first 6 months of the role), you will be able to work from home 1 day per week.
Our standard working week is 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, however we can also consider applicants looking for part-time hours of 30 hours per week.
Career Development
Within this role, there is scope to progress into the Senior Project Coordinator and then Account Coordination Manager or Account Manager roles. This would see you taking on increased responsibility for the successful operation of the team and the wider company.
We also recruit at entry level for Analysts and Health Economists, so if you career ambition is to move into one of these positions, we suggest applying for that role in the first instance.

About You
The ideal candidate will be proactive, innovative and eager to take on new challenges and responsibilities, with the ambition to progress in their career at the company. You will receive close training and mentorship from experienced colleagues, so no prior industry experience is required.
Essential requirements for the role are:
- A degree level or equivalent qualification in a scientific or quantitative discipline (minimum 2.1 or equivalent).
- Postgraduate qualifications (minimum 2.1 or equivalent) would be an advantage, but they are not a requirement for the role.

- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to understand and interpret the output of complex health economic and statistical analyses

- Exceptional written English, which you will use in client work, email communication and internal messaging
- Effective verbal communication skills, which you will use when working with colleagues and clients
- The ability to tailor your communication style to a variety of audiences, including healthcare professionals, patient groups, suppliers, clients, non-scientific colleagues and governmental bodies
- Being self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in healthcare and an eagerness to learn about new areas of science
- The ability to respond to conflicting deadlines, work independently and self-manage your time
- The self-awareness to reflect on your own performance, alongside a willingness to take ownership of your work and the development of your career
