About the Opportunity

Border to Coast is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join the Alternatives function and lead the development of a new Local Investment capability. This role offers the opportunity to have a material positive impact on new investments across local and regional areas of the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with Partner Funds to understand local investment ambitions
  • Collaborate with regional and mayoral authorities to identify investment opportunities
  • Lead the development of the local investment programme
  • Work with UK Opportunities Portfolio Manager on portfolio construction and monitoring
  • Conduct due diligence on investments

About You

The ideal candidate will be an established Portfolio Manager with experience in investing across various alternatives asset classes via private market fund structures. Knowledge of the UK market and regionally focused managers is desirable. Experience in strategies contributing to the growth of the UK or regional economy is a plus.
